Yesterday Glenn Beck hosted a rally in Washington, DC, entitled, "Restoring Honor." The following is a clip of the closing prayer and song. Glenn tells the story of the man who leads this powerful prayer, so I'll give some additional background on the song.
You have probably heard this song before, as it has been around for several years. It was written by James Huey when he was just a teenager. When he was 12 he began to sit at the piano and ask the Lord for songs. He would consistently pray and play for hours at a time. One day the Lord gave him "When I Think About the Lord." James put it on a shelf and somewhat forgot about it. Later, as a student at Christ for the Nations, he pulled that song off the shelf and submitted it for consideration for their 1998 recording. It was chosen and became a worldwide song of worship. Yesterday this anointed song that the Lord gave to a teenager almost twenty years ago was sung in our nation's capital, publicly declaring that the Lord, He is One.
Lord, heal Your people and restore righteousness in America.
